A research-informed approach
Extensive research was conducted to inform the campaign including:
- Surveys with parents to understand their barriers, attitudes, and perceptions around childhood vaccines.
- Focus groups to hear from families and health care providers across the country and from diverse backgrounds about the messages and materials that they find most helpful.
- In-depth interviews with organizations and panel discussions with select experts in the field to learn more about our audiences, their questions, and information needs.
- An analysis of peer-reviewed journal articles to ensure the approach was grounded in science.
Before the campaign launched, nationally recognized experts reviewed the content, messages, and strategy, including medical doctors and communication experts, to ensure the content is accurate, timely, and easy to understand.
